Project summaryFoot disorders are a large social problem in Europe, with 35% of the population suffering from feet problems. Orthopaedic treatment is the most convenient if not the only possible way to treat these disorders.
At the same time Europe also has to face the challenge of increasing health care costs. This is both an opportunity and a risk for the foot care sector that urgently needs to increase the effectiveness of treatments and to reduce its costs.
